It is a family project that was born in the 1960s in Paradela (Municipality of Paradela, Lugo), the result of the great enthusiasm of Javier, his wife Julia and his brothers-in-law to create their own artisan bakery.

Being lovers of pastry and bakery, they learned, trained and worked hard to achieve what today is a dream come true.

Pastelería San Miguel is a reference not only in the municipality of Paradela. Their products are in demand in many other areas of the province of Lugo and even Galicia.

Their speciality is sweets. However, they make bread and their famous Galician empanadas in different varieties. The product is baked in a wood-fired oven. A product made from 100% natural ingredients and under an authentic and traditional recipe.

Their San Miguel artisan almond tart is their great gourmet product that also works perfectly as a gastronomic ambassador for Paradela.

Philosophy

Textual words of Javier (owner): “traditional activities like ours are destined to disappear”.

It is not possible to conceive of the concept of “craftsmanship” (in this case pastry-making) without effort, good raw materials, constant tenacity and hard daily work 365 days a year.

However, this is the only combination with which it is possible to produce an artisan gastronomic product like those of yesteryear.
