Mourelo Gandería Quintián Cheese 500g is a gourmet product handmade at Gandería Quintián in the rural village of Quintián (O Páramo Council, Lugo).
It is a gourmet semi-cooked pressed cow’s milk cheese. It has a semi-hard texture but is very creamy on the palate. It has a slightly floury graininess with very pleasant tyrosine crystals. It melts well in the mouth.
Tasting notes by Master Cheese Maker José Luís Martín: Intense and persistent flavour, very elegant and fruity with hints of pineapple and citrus. Initially, there is a mild and well-integrated acidity. It has sweet notes of cereal and grass.
